[Summary]
This project was started in November 1st, 2023 and was intended to be finished by the end of NaNoWadMo 2023. However, this ended up not happening, and I generally put it off mostly due to college and other projects I was working on, like Spectrum Descent. After some on and off mapping, I finished it!

I was mainly inspired by LunchLunch's 10X10, where the maps used 10 textures and 10 flats using DOOM II's stock textures, and it has played a big hand the projects idea. I was also willing to challenge myself using only certain textures to create an entire episode! The project idea did start small, but as time went on, the scope for the project became larger, and ultimately led to the result you are about to play or have already played.

I then forgot to upload it to idgames for almost a year lol.

[Comments]

*Spoilers for the levels in here. Just thought I would leave comments on the development of these levels.

Map 01: Encrypted Entryport

A short map that was made in 3 days, One day that was for the layout, the next was for detail, and the last was for enemy encounters, not counting those for polish. Just a simple opening map, fun to play, and introduces how the wad will look.

Map 02: Bypassing The Firewall

The last map I worked on for this set. Map02 and Map04 weren't planned, though my ambition got the better of me and I made these two maps to make a complete episode. These maps were created as a form of transition map, where it bridges the gap between maps 1 to 3, and 3 to 5 respectively.

This map is different compared to other maps, where you have to think more about your current situation, compared to the previous map, with a focus on infighting.

Map 03: The Network

Took about 2 weeks to complete. It starts to pick up in difficulty at this point, with a lot tough battles. I was still experimenting with the textures and how to make them work. This was a map I was really proud of myself with, but it caused a mapper's block for some time.

Map 04: Lethal Backdoors

A short breather map before the final map. This map got completed rather quickly, taking a week before it got into a playable state. This is also the only map that has an easter egg in it. GL finding it!

Map 05: Principles of Entropy

I spent a lot of time off and on with this map, and I was not expecting this map to take as long as it has. The lesson I learned is that for maps of this scale, be prepared to spend a while making it. I wasn't, and it ended up taking a longer to develop, though was it really worth it? Honestly, I would say yes. It took tons of perseverance and time to complete this map.

This map is hard on UV, easily one of the tougher maps I've made. You never really get to use the BFG this much for the other parts of the wad, so this map is pretty much here to fix that. I normally end a tough map like this with an archvile trap, but there isn't one. It would take away from the moment. So glad I managed to finish this map, it is one of my biggest achievements as a doom mapper.
